Question about 1998 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
Guys I have had the same problem with my C200 elegance. I have been researching this problem for 4 weeks now the conclusion I'm coming to is to burn my car, but, you guys might not be in the same position. The answer so far after looking at every angle is to go to a main dealer and let them sort it, it will be pricey. I have tried to locate the same model ignition for my car, the idea was to replace the barrel and key with another 1 but it turns out I would have a better chance of digging for oil in my garden. The out come was to purchase a barrel and key from s well known site take a chance for 250 as to whether it works as there was no refunds and then the cost of the labour to have it fitted. You may save a couple of hundred quid but will you ever drive your car again with confidence. Watch thus space I will let you guys know my decision .
