Check the fuses, the one for the instrument cluster is located under the dash. if fuse is good check the alternator. if it is not putting out any juice the first thing to go is the gauges and radio then the vehicle will shut off because it is running soley on the battery which wont last long.

A fuse/relay or a wiring short

Check your fuses first.

Check gage

Check what gauge? Is that your check engine light or is it a check oil light? A lot of times if you turn a corner fast your oil gauge may signal low oil. Check your oil make sure it is at the proper level.

Dash light stopped working

check fuse first... check that the dimmer isnt turned all the way down... check the power coming from the dimmer switch... and if all else fails, pull the instrument cluster and check bulbs.

Where is it located and what does the oil sending unit do?

Your oil sending unit is located somewhre on the engine. It will be round and about 1 to 1.5 inch across. It will have a wire attached to the top of it. I dont know the specific location on your particular car.

What does it do? It is a diaphram operated device that sends a signal to your oil gage or warning light. The engine side is exposed to oil pressure in the engine. The oil presses against the diaphram. The diaphram is attached to a variable resistor device that operates the gage. Low pressure on the diaphram -= low signal to the gage; Hight pressure on the diaphram = high signal to the gage.

My rpm gage is not working, my speedometer is not working, my gas gage is not working, and my oil gage is not working, and my temperature gage is not working pretty much when i start up my car and drive it...

I'd wager that the fuse that controls the gauges is shot, or one of the internal connectors got unplugged (Fuse sounds more likely). Radio, Lights, and Turn Lamps are usually on seperate circuits.

The check gages light constantly comes on. How can I get this issue fixed?

Have either autozone or auto discount...depending on your location, they will check it for free an tell you what the problem is.. they can reset it..however it will continue to come on until the problem is resovled

Signal lights, fuel gage, temp gage not working. Could it be the signal light relay? Where is it located?

This sounds like you have blown a fusible link! Check your main fuses first.

you have no power coming in from one of the circuits from fusebox under hood. You will need to run new circuit line in from dash and BCM to the fuse box under hood

Fuel gage turn signals and heater (fan) won't work.

Reversing polarity at the battery is a very bad thing and can cause a host of unpredictable problems. You are lucky that you didn't fry the alternator diodes (the battery is charging, I hope). Each of the problems you describe will have to be treated separately. 1. try replacing the turn signal fuse and flasher unit. 2. fuel gauge has a delicate resistor... probably the easiest fix is to replace the instrument cluster. 3. Heater blower fan has a resistor pack for different fan speeds, this may be replaceable, otherwise a new blower assembly may be the best way to fix it. Hope this helps
