Bought 2002 Chrysler T&C used in 2007. I have had this problem since I got it. Dealer said it might have been from filling up with gas with the engine running. No problems found. Of course the dealer tried lots of things to "fix" it. $600 later... engine light still on. I needed mine to pass e-check too. I finally had to register it to my business in another county that doesn't require e-check. If it makes you feel any better, I have not had any engine problems and it has been 2 years since the light came on :) Yes, it's still on.

You will need an OBDII diagnostic to Isolate the cause of the emissions failure,
Can be a line in the evaporative emissions system has a leak
The fuel pump gasket leaking
one of many sensors have failed
A smoke test is the only reliable way to find a evap leak
and and OBD II scan tool is the only way to find the remaining concerns, sorry
If this information is helpful please give me a good rating
Thank You,Randy

What are the hoses that come out of the radiator on a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country

If they are small metal hoses and they are leaking oil, then they are eather engine oil cooling lines or automatic transmission oil cooling lines. If they are larger rubber hoses and are leaking green or red fluid, then they are antifreeze/coolant hoses.

Engine light on cleared and came back on

Evap Codes. You got the codes. Leaks. Now check the entire system. May be a cracked or loose hose. If not, check valves,switches.solenoids. If nothing you can find or are familiar with on site, you will need professional help and possibly a pressure test, vacuum test, smoke test etc,to find the problem.

How do I change the thermostat on 2002 Chrysler Town & Country

Follow the upper radiator hose towards the engine. Remove the hose and the 2 13mm bolts - there is your thermostat and gasket.

    Code P0456 on 2003 Town & Country

Below are the possible causes for your engine light and error code:

    Possible Causes:
    • EVAP fuel tank or canister vapor hoses leaking or damaged
    • EVAP system component leaking, fuel cap loose or missing
    • Leak detection pump damaged or leaking

The fuel cap is probably the most common cause of this problem. It's considered part of the emission system and if faulty or not place on the filler tube correctly, it will throw an error. Best of luck with your engine light issue. Take care!

I need to siphon the gas out of 2002 Town & Country van.

you should try a smaller hose like 3/8 an try to work it back and forth if that wont work look under the car where the fill line meets the tank sometimes theres a rubber hose where u can disconnect the fill line at the tank and gas cap then put aside and siphon closer to tank
