It sounds like you need to replace a belt. Probably the fan belt. Make sure the car is NOT running and check under the hood. Usually a bad or worn belt can be easily spotted if it appears cracked, overly dry, or if the edges of the belt are curled up. If they appear to be in good condition you may need to adjust the pulley tension. Or if you would like a quick but temporary fix, you can buy a bottle of belt dressing at the auto part store.This does not fix the problem it only provides short term "symptom" relief.
