BAR HEAD GASKET SEALER MOST PEOPLE USE IT TO TRY FIX HEAD GASKET LEAK. BAR SEALER WILL CLOGGED UP RADIATOR, HEATER CORE AND THERMOSTAT.IF COOLING SYSYEM HAS OIL IN IT OR CRANKCASE OIL HAS ANTIFREEZE IN IT YOU HAVE BLOWED HEAD GASKET.

I relaced the radiator, rad cap thermostat and flushed and put new coolant. everything is hooked up correctly. i have 3 water leaks around the bottom of the sump pan. for the life of me ive never seen this...

There is no water jackets anywhere near the sump. You have a leak that is running down the side of the engine and appears at the sump.Let the motor sit and cool down.Top up the water and with a torch in hand, start the motor. The fans will push water towards the rear of the motor.Start looking.Best in the dark because you will see the shine of the water.Check thermostat gasket and around the water pump.Hope this helps

Hi i have a 4afc i have repalaced the water pump removed thermostat flushed radiator and block with garden hose and it is still over heating what could be left to do

possible blown head gasket and head repairs is in order.
combustion is leaking into cooling system
can do a few checks
T.K. head check
remove spark plugs when engine is warm with cooling system under pressure (radiator pressure tester)
leave for 10-20 minutes inspect for pressure loss
if so pressurise system and crank over with plugs removed and check for water (mist) commong out of cylinders

1990 Corolla Cooling system problems

Your temp gauge reads low on the highway, and one-half in the city?
You need to replace the thermostat. It is sticking open.
Driving at highway speeds, the blast of air that the car is cutting through enters the radiator, thusly cooling it, and the coolant inside the radiator... In town, with the lesser amount of air being forced into the radiator, (slower speeds), the coolant temperature rises. Replace the thermostat, and you will be OK.
