A video is not available.

The blower motor (that is the heater fan motor) is located behind the dash, on the lower right side of the dash panel. The part is accessed disassembling the dash.

The blower motor fails quite rarely. Before going for the blower motor, check the blower motor resistor. The resistor is connected in wiring to the blower motor. When the resistor is bad, its wire will be open. If you touch the resistor poles with an Ohm meter, a good resistor will read low impedance, a broken one will read open.
The resistor is located under the hood, behind the windshield water bottle, and it is easy to access. See below:

Check first the resistor. You may need to remove wiper arm and bottle.
To access the blower motor instead you will need to take apart the dash, and the motor may not be your problem. You access the heater core behind the dash only when there is a stuck blend door. When the motor is not blowing check the resistor.

Test also fuse 10 (30Amps) and fuse F1(25A).

If resistor and fuses are OK, access the blower motor by taking out dash trims. The blower is on the passenger side of dash. In there you will find one green and one black wiring connecting to the motor. Check voltage. If there is 12VDC in the green one, and blower motor does not start, then motor is shot and you will need to replace it. Test the rest first.

If there is no power on the green, go back to wiring and test. I have uploaded relevant wiring diagrams here: Click here to start download .

The link will expire in some times. If that does not work, use this (same files):

Does the 1992 chrysler new yorker have a transmission sensor?

What type of sensor do you mean? I don't think it has sensors like a more modern transmission as far as the VSS, for instance, because it has a speedometer cable in that place and bands.

I think the 1992 Chrysler New Yorker had an older style transmission that didn't use a computer sensor as far as I read, anyway.

Does that answer the question?

Heater blower motor just quit working during heavy rain.checked all fuses glove box and under hood;gm told me it was a relay behind the blower motor 1992 Chrysler new yorker salon how do i replace...

The rain had nothing to do with it. What ever GM told you was a quess, unless they worked on it. You never change parts until you know their bad. Have to at least know how to test relay, if you do find it. Stop by dealer, they will come out and remove it for free

Have 93 chysl New yorker need to find location of resister for blower motor

Resister is located on passenger side fire wall. If this doesn't fix heater blower problem then need to replace blower fan. Remove the glove box (be sure to save all screws) to access the blower fan. It is a very tight fit to get out and back in.

Replaced mine and works fine now. Hope this helps. Mary Ann
