Electrics go haywire in heavy rain fine weather it seems ok

The obvious conclusion is that a portion of wiring that has lost its insulation, or a junction box that has lots protective covering, is exposed to the rain. You need someone to investigate where that has occurred.

How can stop water getting into both foot well boxes

The gutters are blocked under your scuttle panel which drain rain water away, the water then fills up and overflows into your heater box and onto the floor

Passenger front floor is getting wet?

Hi Deborah:
Time to trouble shoot..........
- Does the wet only happen when it is raining or when you wash the car? Possible windshield seal problem.
- Does the wet smell like anti-freeze or engine coolant (Heater core)
- Where does the dog lie after it has been swimming?

Megane Scenic... All display lights keep going off (speed, miles etc). Must be a loose connection somewhere as they are not permanently off.

If this scenic is approx 2003 onwards your problem is the disply unit. if it goes of and refuses to come back on, a temp solution is to either disconect the terminal to the rear of the disply unit or disconnect the battery for a few moments. no perminant repair. req's new panel.

Rain Sensor wipers Renault Megane

Either the replacement sensor the windscreen technician should have fitted isnt connected properly to the glass or it has developed an intermittant fault - quite common with Renaults especially megane scenics and grand scenics....

The sunroof drainage gets blocked.

your footwells will fill with water - even under your seats right to the back seats footwells

See two 10mm holes in front sides when sunroof is open.
a) push a flexible cable down from the top - it comes out just behind the front wheels. (use electric three core cable - or TV aerial cable - a hanger is too short) - you need about a metre and a half)
b) remove the inner mudgaurd behind the front wheels (2 screws) you will see the end of the plastic drainage pipes - remove the blocked black rubber cup at the end of these - why they are there is anybody's guess)
