There would not be a specific fuse for those lights only, there would be other circuits included with them on that fuse, however the fuses should be in be in the main fuse box. The position and function of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you don't come right with these, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. It is not difficult, especially if you use a small pair of pliers to help you pull each fuse.
Take into consideration that it might not be a fuse but a bulb or a wire loose or something like that. Check the bulbs first, bulbs do not like being knocked much.

My golf 1.8t gti has a fault the 4 wires on the positive side of the battery if the black one is connected when the ignition is off it deadens the battery anyone know what these wires feed or what they do...

What you have is a battery drain.. these can be very difficult to track down. Plug in the battery, on the + side, and put a test light on the - side (----battery cable ------->test lead<--------(battery)) Then start pulling fuses, when the light goes out, you found the fuse the drain is on, now you have to look at a wiring diagram and pinpoint where the drain is coming from..

Easier method.. make sure all your doors are shut, trunks shut.. all the lights are off etc..
