Yes, you can remove the back seat and access the trunk from car inside. The rear seat is split 60/40 and folds down for carrying even more stuff. Push the backrest upper lateral button and fold down the rear seat backrest. Then go into the trunk and take your set of keys.

This is an older model, the rear seat does not have the split. Must I cut through the back panel?

Why did you rated me "Not Helpful" solution?
You did not specified in your original post that your rear seat does not have the split!!!
Your original post: "i locked my only set of keys in the boot of my audi a4 2004. how do i go about getting them out? can i take the back seat out and where do i start?"
Where do you think I knew that your rear seat does not have the split?

Audi 2003 sedan and I have locked the keys in the trunk, or boot, please how can I open the truck/boot? Thanks

didnt specify model -generic answer --if no access to another key --do you have access to interior compartment if so look for trunk release usually by drivers door or glovebox---if no interior release will need to remove rear seat to gain access to trunk

Can't open boot on 96 Audi A4

if unable to turn key in boot then you will have to drop the seats down inside and climb in. remove the rear door panel and move the release mechanism manually. Make sure the vac pipes are connected and the mechanism isnt siezed.

MY BOOT HAS BEEN SHUT SINCE WE HAD ALL THE SNOW AND NOW I CANT OPEN IT , WITH KEY REMOTE OR THE KEY ITSELF,ALL THE DOORS WORK FINE, AND I HAVE A A6 SALOON 2002 SO THE SEATS DONT GO DOWN. JOHN

if you cant turn the key in the trunk lock : use a thin oil, something like sewing machine oil, and squirt it in to the key hole, run the key back and forth in the hole then squirt some more, repeat until you can turn the key,
if you can turn the key and it wont open, then i cant help you, you could try to remove the back seats to gain access,(removing the bolts and removing them that way)

I have shut the boot but now it wont open. the key still works the central locking in the boot but the catch is jammed and the back seats don't fold down.Is there a way of getting into the boot?

Hi,

insert your key, keep it turned as well as possible in the good direction and just try pulling it open as hard as you can without forcing anything ofcourse.
might help.

else i suggest you contact your local dealer/technician and have him check it out.

I hope this is useful, and greets,

Olivier.

I have 2 of these remotes; one of them is in flawless condition but they would both need an uncut blade and a virgin immobilizer chip.
