My dashboard lights and panel went out, how do i fix this?

This could be a couple of things. First, have you towed a trailer recently or do you have a trailer hitch with light connections? Check to see if the the "running or parking" lights work on the outside of your van. If they don't start looking for a shorted wire since the dash lights are usually on the same fuse circuit as the parking lights are on. If the outside lights work and the fuse isn't blown then your headlight switch is probably to blame and will need to be replaced.

Taillights and dashboard lights went out on my 1988 Nissan Truck. Was told there is no seperate fuse for it. Thought it could be a relay or something. At a lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There should be a 10amp fuse for the parking lights and a 5amp fuse for the dash lights. But both circuits go thru the headlight switch.
I would check for power in and out of the headlight switch on each circuit. You may need a shop manual or do some internet searching to get the complete diagram.

2004 Grand Am Pontica - the dash board lights went out recently and then the horn. Took to a shop they just swapped two fused in the engine seciton, and horn works, but no dashboard lights and I just...

check the parking light fuse or taillight fuse to make sure it has not blown. replace it if it has blown and see if the lights work or if the fuse blows again. if it blows when you turn the lights on then you have a short circuit that needs repaired. if the fuses are good ,then most likely the headlight switch is bad not allowing the taillights or dash lights to work.

When i turn on my lights,my headlights come on but the parking & the back lights& the dashboard light wont come on, but the brake lights work

This sounds like a fuse problem. I would suggest checking the fuses. If the fuses are all ok, then it could be the light switch that is causing the problem. I would suggest checking for power on the back of the switch. Make sure that you are getting power out of the switch to the running lights and the dash lights. I believe the two wires that you want to have power on are the orange with a white stripe and the blue with the black stripe. These should be the dash and running lights.

Lights on a 2001 ram 1500

Sounds like you blew a fuse or 2. Disconnect the socket you just replaced , replace any bad fuses and check. If it works, be sure you are hooking the new socket up correctly.
