I have a 1999 ford f-250 super duty crew cab (suicide rear passenger door) with a lower lock that will not allow the door to release so as to let the door open. I have removed the door panels to reveal the door opening mechanism. Lubricated all pivot points, cables are intact and actuate freely when inside and jamb controls are actuated. I have removed the upper lock latch as to elimenate any doubts that the lower lock is the problem. Manually depressing the upper latch and actuating using either the jamb lever or interior lever release the upper lock so I know that the upper cable assembly is working. It is the lower lock that will not release. How do I rectify this situation, You can pull on the door, but only move a small amount. Please give me some solutions.
