Mikemike7580@yahoo.com i just bought a 1983 porsche model 928, i need to know where the transmission dipstick is located. and what is the best method for replacing the fluid.

There is no dipstick on these transmissions and refilling must be done from beneath the vehicle on the side of the transmission.

You will need to remove the pan to drain the fluid.

In any event if you have one of these cars I suggest you join one of the Porsche 928 forums where you will get a wealth of helpful information as, I assume you know, these cars are very expensive to maintain properly.

Here is a useful link and covers the transmission fluid. I would not attempt this unless the car was on a hoist.

Have a 1981 928 porsche headlights wont operate. They pop up but dont turn on relay and fuses appear ok ,where can I locate wiring diagram

Firat thing you do see if the wire going to the headlight has 12volts. If there is 12volts then make sure the head light is not burtn out. Also check the condition of the plug to see if it is corroded.

Just bought a Porsche 928, 1982 model and has a bad water leak, where can i locate the water pump?

The water pump is behind the plastic cover at the front of your engine BE CAREFUL the water pump is driven by the camshaft timing belt (that should be changed at the same time every 100,000klms/60,000miles)this is a complicated procedure and if your not very handy with the spanners take it to a pro

Do you have the proper tools to inspect and rebuild the pump? Depending upon what is wrong inside, it's usually just better to purchase a replacement one.
