Follow the top radiator hose where it goes into the engine there will be a matal housing and where the housing is there will be two bolts take the bolts out and tap the housing it should come off and that is where the thermostat is

98 cavalier with a 2.2 liter wanna know if I can put a 2.4 liter with twin cam in it like the z24 cavalier and if I can what do I have to do ? Thank you

Sure you can .. but prepare yourself for a whole lot of work with very little gain.. I would consider buying a different car.. If you want to go fast look at V8 5.0 mustangs 1989-1995 The 5.0 are really fast and easy to work on. and cheap. especially the 1994-1995 since they are ugly. The manual 5 speed trans are the way to go.

How to replace a broken timing belt for a 1998 daewoo lanos?? Would there be any head damage?

yes it is quite possible that valves are bent if the cam belt broke or teeth stripped off of old belt, which unfortuneately means removing the cylinder head and getting it repaired (valves replaced and possibly guides) see some of my other posts for cam belt timming marks locations etc...
depending what motor is in your vehicle twin cam or single?
