When u take yous headlight out there should be a part # on the headlight if not at the parts store tell them what make and model of your car and they can get u a new headlight

Low beam headlight drivers side don`t work. high beam it works.

Check tour bulbs first and replace if blown. If OK then check wiring backwards from light to dip switch.

Where is the ob2 connector on the ford explorer 1996

For 1996 Ford Truck Explorer 4WD 4.0L EFI 6cyl the OBD Diagnostic Link Connector is located front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted driver side of steering column.

Have a 1996 Ford Explorer. The Drivers side low beam does not work. I have replaced the bulb, hot wired behind the light fixture itself and can make the light work, checked fuses. Thought I would hot wire...

Check the plug that goes to the light in question I had one that melted and ruined the plug and it wouldnt work until I replaced the plug. I hope this helps you.

Driver side headlight went out in 1996 ford explorer changed bulb still no light but i do have high beam I have the same problem with my 1997. I've had some people look at it and nobody can figure out the...

the problem is in the bulb when you replace the bulb and you touch it with your hand be sure to wipe the bulb off before installing it in the headlight assembly because it the sweat on your hand that can blow the low beam also make sure the socket is clean and just a little grease is in it

If you have auto lamps,there is a module in the center console that cause one of the headlamps not to illuminate. you will need a test light and a wiring schematic to see if that is your problem.

i think you can do it, heck your half way there. seams like you know what your looking at, go for it. trial and error best teacher. OLD SCHOOL.
