sensor dont take to long to change and the price depends on were you get it from, but you need to know it is a sensor failed or just blocked. road muck can get stuck in there and give a failed sensor. the message you are getting is it needs to be serviced when the sensor is changed it can take upto 10 meters for the abs to reg the signal. if no abs and speedo jumps its the front pass side sensor. its more common for the front sensor to fail as they get the most rain/muck on them when turning. they rust up.
TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC MATE IF YOU DONT YOUR GONNA BE IN A LOT OF MUCK, GET IT DONE RIGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU CANT MUCK ABOUT WITH THAT SORT OF GEAR IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING
if the as you call it muck in the reservor is pink in color and your looking trans fluid i would say the trans cooler is leaking internally into the cooling system make sure the trans fluid is not getting pink as well it will damage the trans
There could be a blob of muck on the laser head, if you do disconnect the battery you will require the code to reset the wireless . Make sure to get a written quote for repairs , as a replacement may cost less.
oops?? think you have a problem here and the problem is muck in the pick pipe filter on the oil pump ,drop the sump and check it before you re start .had this problem before quite a few times the brown muck builds up inside the engine where the oil isnt changed often enough ,the new oil is cleaning the engine so the muck breaks up and clogs the gauze filter .I serviced a car last week and it got 20 miles up the motorway and the oil light came on. when car returned here with irate customer who has been using my car since. When i told them what had happened they have kept my car and will not pay for the repair to theirs because they reckon i never put the oil in .This is about teh third car in the last year with the same problem ,change the oil every 6000miles and and the oil filter every thrid oil change
Hi, The best way is to take it to a Auto Trans Specialist who will put it on an obd scanner (saves alot of mucking around & costs about $50) this should tell you exactly what needs to be fixed.
hi, this is a common problem it means that you have either blocked breather hose in the tank causing the pressure to build up in the tank causing the problem your having or it could be that their is muck in the tank and when the fuel gets low it starts sucking the fuel through the engine causing the light to come on.
One thing to try is to buy a fuel additive cleaner that goes into the fuel tank and runs through the fuel lines and injectors cleaning any muck out but if its the breather pipe thats blocked coming from the tank then this would involve removing the tank you would also need to do this if you wanted to clean any muck out of the tank.
Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
I have had this problem. if the spluttering start at a certain point on the fuel gauge. and when you fill it up it goes ok. then the fuel pump in the tank is breaking down. because when it gets to a level the pump has to work harder to pull up the fuel. however if it happens at any level of petrol that can be muck in the tank. or muck in the filler cap key hole. some cars breath through there. clean it in boiling water. now for muck in fuel try AMITECH products sludge remover. $8 or so. first . or you could try taking the pipe of the carbaretter and blowing air back into the tank. blasting away muck from pump it will not hurt it. might go for a while. failing that drain the tank and clean out with sludge remover. the other thing it could be is a slight hole in the tank. probably not. or a relay that gets hot.test relays do air thing try sludge remover and boil petrol cap before spending any money. use the air line that fills the tyres but take off pettrol cap first. just a little blast will do. few things to try there. hope it helps or you have to drop the tank clean it and change fuel pump. and thats expensive. liz
