Question about Cadillac Eldorado
There are 3 relays and 2 fuses that control the fans and are located
under the black plastic cover (main fuse center), driver side under the hood behind the washer solvent bottle.
Maxi fuse 6 provides power to terminal 1 of the relay at all times, terminal 4 goes the the fan motor, fuse D3 has power with the key in run to terminal 2 and the PCM provides the ground to make the fan turn on.
With relay 1 removed and the ignition key on you should have battery voltage at relay terminal 1 and 2. If not check Maxi fuse 6 or D3. Then make a 12 Gauge jumper wire with an inline fuse of 30 amps and jumper the relay terminals 1 and 4. The fan should turn on. If it does try a new relay. If not or the fuse blows then the fan motor is bad and needs to be replaced.
