From experience: bad spark plug wire. It'll get worse when going uphill & accelerating.

Mustang 2003 check engine light on. Had diagnostic run at AutoZone and they gave me the following codes: p0316 and p0301. car skips like it wants to cut off. Can I still drive until I get it looked at with...

If the light is flashing - NO. It means you are dumping raw fuel intot eh catalytic converter (very expensive).

If steady, drive sparingly.

01 is cylinder #1 misfiring. Could be spark plug or coil.

16 is misfire detected during start up.

2003 mustang cylinder 2 misfire. I changed the spark plugs and wires. Its still have code p0302. What should I do next?

A code P0302 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Faulty spark plug or wire
Faulty coil (pack)
Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
Faulty fuel injector
Burned exhaust valve
Faulty catalytic converter(s)
Running out of fuel
Poor compression
Defective computer

Possible Solutions:
* If there are no symptoms, the simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
* If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

Keep us updated.

My 2003 ford mustang is skipping in gear but not it park..but it does do it all the time

the engine is misfiring under a load, the most common cause is a bad spark plug , bad spark plug wire or a bad ignition coil. in any case a good old fashioned tune up should take care of it......HAVE FUN

2003 mustang gt will skip when it hits about 1,500 rpm but after that it is fine but you can still feel a little skip in it.

I have a similar symptom. No engine light lite. It can be felt as I accelerate moderately from a standing stop. Then as my engine begins a climb in rpm in seems to hesitate for a brief moment and then continue to increase rpm. Not sure what this is.

Is this the symptom you were identifying?

My 2003 Mustang Mach 1 has a skip in the engine when I first start it up. After I drive it for a short distance ( about 6-7 miles ) the skip goes away. I thought it might be a bad spark plug, so I replaced...

I'd suspect a sticking injector--car should have set the check engine light. Read the code(s) to progress further. If the coil pack were a problem, it would not be likely to fix itself. If the codes indicate an injector problem, try an injector cleaner in the fuel--worst case, replace the bad injector. The codes should indicate which cylinder to change the injector.

Does it idle fine? Sounds like a vacuum leak.

Passenger side window goes up to far, why? the window rubs the cars trim over window when closing door....2003 mustang gt is car,i took door apart and noticed what window sits on at base/bottom looks to...

I think that there are supposed to be set screws in these, but don't quote me, you'll have to push the window back into the cradle and look for where the set screws should be and replace them with an equal size screw or bolt.

Exhaust Manifolds and Synchronizer & Sensor

You can drive the car nearly forever with these noise concerns, the trans noise which is the synchronizer ring may cause an issue in the long run, I have no clue what sensor they are talking about, but sensors don't make any noise, they are electronic parts.
