Are there more than one crank shaft position sensors on my 2003 impala 3400 motor?

Yes their is one behind the crankshaft front pulley, and one mounted in the engine block just below the rear exhaust manifold

Chevy doesn't have a inertia switch . If the engine dies after a wreck the fuel pump shuts off because the PCM doesn't see a crankshaft position sensor signal . The engine has to be running or cranking . GM Fuel Pump Relay Testing YouTube

I replaced front crank shaft seal in 2003 chevy impala and its still leaking and wont start what dod i do


The shaft may be worn down by the old seal and it wont work with a new seal because of the size change. Are you sure that you have the timing set right? Also did you remove the crank sensor or the crank sensor wires?

The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor on a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier equipped with a 2.2L 4-cylinder engine is located on the front of the engine just above the starter near the oil pressure sending unit.

It's up behind the starter motor. sorta hard to find.

the thermostat housing is located where the radiator hose connects to the engine. you'll need a flush kit to flush it out, it comes with instructions
