Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
If you are standing at the front bumper of your car, looking at your distributor cap, the 8o'clock position would be for cyl1. The order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 and it goes clock wise starting from where I told you cyl1 is on the cap.
On the engine, cyl1 is nearest to the radiator and cyl6 is nearest the firewall and
