Verify with multimeter or test light that power and ground are being applied when fuel injector should be opening, if electrically everything is sound, replace the fuel injector.

Do you hear the fuel pump buzz for a few seconds when you turn on the key? If not you have an electrical problem. If you do, then trace the fuel line from the tank to the first point where it connects to something and loosen the connection. Turn the key on and see if you get fuel. If not then the problem is between there and the tank. If you do then try other end . Keep doing this at every junction and you should find the cause of your problem. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: fuel injectors spraying to much gas

to be honest, with an 89, all you can do is replace the injector. how an injector works is there is a small amount of current that is run to a coil around a rod (if you are unaware, this produces magnetic fields). the magnetic field produced pulls up what is usually a small ball, allowing fuel to go through the tip of the injector nozzle. all you can do to fix this is to buy different injectors.

just a question..why do you think they are spraying too much fuel? because it may just be that you have excessive fuel pressure and your fuel pressure regulator is bad. hit me back.

could be clogged up, clean injectors. gunk in bottom of fuel tank can be sucked through and block injectors. also check fuel pump.

I have a 92 GMC Sierra 5.7l and it barely runs and the tachometer is all over the place.

Pull the distrubitor cap and check for any side to side play at the rotor shaft,a little up and down is ok but any side to side makes the magnet hit the pickup. The top bushings are prone to failure .

93 astro van fuel injectors not spraying

Unless you have a clogged fuel line going into the throttle body, something got missed.
With the key on, can you ground one of the injectors and make it spray ?

MY 4.3L ACTS LIKE IT'S NOT GETTING ENOUGH AIR FUEL MIXTURE. THE ACCELERATOR POWER IS IRRATIC LIKE MY TRUCK DOESN'T WANT TO GO. AL

you could be looking at the map sensor, throttle position sensor, kirty plugs, dirty injectors, fuel presure drop, vacuum lleak, best to get the engine scanned (not a code scan)
