I have a daewoo lanos i have a new key does it need coding to the car?

If there is a computer chip in the original key you will only be able to get a new one from the dealer, if the new key you have turns over the engine ,but it won't start then you need a dealer key. Only try to start the car with the new key once though if you try it too many times the car will shut down and the dealer will have to reset your computer for you to be able to drive the car.

    You can call the dealer and ask. If the New Key that you got won't start the car chances are it needs a Key with a chip in it. If you ordered the key from an online store you may have to go to the dealer and have them code the key for you.
