My car radio and AC fan are not working in toyota Avanza 2015, it started by fan running as soon the car is on immediately. May be is the fuse problem or what..

Hello Nceba Maqaqa,

We do not have a Toyota Avanza in the USA Market...

Looks to be a van/wagon style perhaps or Venza
would be close... (??).

In any case: IF...
the mechanical job (crank-shaft job) is related
to this incident... you NEED to be looking inside your engine compartment... for physical damage to your wiring...

POSSIBLY Your "MECHANIC" snagged a couple
of wires when pulling the engine ...
(and HOPEFULLY did a shabby job of repairing them..
(the shabbier the BETTER... EASY to find)).

A real "MECHANIC" would welcome the opportunity
to make sure you are a COMPLETELY SATISFIED
customer... Give that a try first.

ASK if there were any wiring "incidents" during the procedure

ELSE
You are left with tracing and toning out the wires: power distribution & possible FAN & RADIO cross-overs.

Tone tracing wires is a relatively EASY PROCEDURE...
(I use Klein tools - don't have time to mess with toys).

You do need wiring schematics... and you do need to
OPEN the circuit you are tracing (open = pull the fuse)...
to isolate the wire... (recommend FACTORY drawing).

2015 American market Toyota Venza schematic
drawings... are available FREE on BBB Industries site
(below)... REGISTRATION is required.

On the TYPICAL "entertainment" drawings found
for your year there are at least 3 and often 4 POWER
fuse circuits needed for your RADIO to function.
One (often two BATTERY sources, an accessory battery & an ignition battery.

I see no OPPORTUNITY for an EASY explanation
of your fan operating & radio NOT working... but
my first BACK trace would be of the FAN POWER... as
that logically would explain the fan symptom you described.

Hope this helps

My bmw 318 is blower fan not working

Blown Fuse
  • Usually the first thing to inspect when the blower fan stops working is the fuses to see if any are blown. Locate the 10A cluster fuse or the 25A HVAC fuse in your car manual, and examine them to determine if they need replacing. The car owner's manual will tell you where to find the fuses that are connected to the heat and/or air conditioning. On the interior fuse panel of the car, a 30 amp fuse is labeled "Heater" or "HVAC."

Bad Blower MotorIf the fan only works on setting number 3 or 4, or just on the highest setting, it is most likely that your blower motor is failing and is about to die. Use a voltmeter to test the amount of voltage at the blower motor connector with your ignition on and AC running. If it reads 12V, the motor needs replacing.Automatic Climate Control SystemAnother thing that causes the blower fan to malfunction is the Automatic Climate Control System (ACCS). If the ACCS's settings are off, it may cause the fan to stop working. If it is the climate control on the car, typically it is a bad thermostat or electrical circuit that is the culprit.
hope this helps, James Booth

Heater has stopped working

(1) possible blown fuse.
Note that fuses blow for a reason - seek out the reason, or it will blow its new fuse too.

The main fuse block is located inside the left side of the engine compartment near the battery. There is also an interior fuse panel located just above the left side kick panel.

Interior Fuse Panel
The interior fuses simply unplug from the fuse panel. Use the fuse puller tool provided with your car to remove fuses from the panel. The tool is located on the back of the interior fuse panel cover.

(2) possible blower motor dead. See maintenance manual excerpt below.

(3) possible blower motor relay faulty. Location of Blower relay:
Under hood, drivers side, front engine area, rear of headlight housing; relay mounted on drivers side of radiator shroud.

See Figure below

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glove box and the underdash cover.
  3. Detach the electrical connectors from the blower unit.
  4. Remove the blower unit-to-fire wall attaching bolts and remove the blower unit assembly.
  5. Remove the blower motor fan-to-motor fastener.
  6. Remove the blower motor-to-unit attaching bolts, then remove the motor.
  7. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

All of a sudden today the dashboard lights (mph gauge, etc) won't go on. RPM gauge lights, also odometer, do light. At the same time, interior clicking to indicate directionals and hazard lights shut down...

It's hard for me to understand all of what you said, but I'd start with checking all of my fuses. Look for a blown fuse. Replace. If it blows again, you have a short somewhere.

Fan for interior heat has stopped working

There is a fuse that controls the power to the fan. Replace it, if it continues not to work. Either the fan or the switch have gone out.

Interior Fan Motor won't stop 2004 VW Touareg

Find and replace the Blower fan relay, not sure where it is on your VW but it's common to be in with the fuse box by the battery. Good luck and hope this helps. When the relay goes bad from the heat of the electrical current, it seizes and does not disengage keeping the connection causing the ran to keep running.

Interior electrical problem

For windows, try to clean the relay from the engine compartiment, may be is an imperfect contact. About the interior fan is normaly, at volvo s60, because it has a sensor, and the fan start to clean your ventilation sistem. It runs only 7 minutes, than it's stops. you don't have to wory. Sorry for, my english, but i'm from Romania. I hope you understand

Windows and fans stopped working all at once

You may have 2 problems. The 1998 Breeze is known for burning out the Rheostat for the interior fan. They are also known for burning out window motors, but not usually all windows at the same time.
