Should be a post line coming up next to the battery with a green cap on it.

What kind of ac coolant does it have 134a or r 12 and where is the low pressure port for the ac located

Depends on the year. Cars in the early 90's used R12. Anything later uses R134a. The size of the charge ports will define the R134a port. An adapter is needed to fit on the charging hose. R12 requires no such adapter. Ther charging label under the hood will tell you what refrigerant is needed too. Since you failed to give enough information on what make and model car you have, a general answer for the location of the low pressure port will be given. On the compressor, the larger diameter hose connection is the low side. Connect there, or look for the drier/accumulator (Large diameter silver container near the firewall). Connect there. You will need to access the AC information label under the hood to determine how much freon to add to the system.

Bought a new compressor for my Volkswagen touareg filled the gas but the Ac only cool in de morning and night but does nt cool at all in a hot afternoon when temperature gets to 30 degree and above

When you charge the system, you have to charge to the correct pressure based on the ambient temperature. There are many charts you can find online to help you with that. You may just be a little bit low on R134a.

How much freon needed

It doesn't take freon, it takes R134A. There should be a sticker in the engine compartment that tells the amount. but when filling low side should be somewhere between 25-45 and high side 150-300. if you are serious about charging your own system please purchase a set of manifold gauges. it is the only way to properly charge the system. Harbor freight tools has a set for $45 and big lots sells refrigerant for $6. using the pregauged cans to fill your system is a hack way to do it and can be harmful to your ac system. Properly charging the system has a direct relationship to the outside ambient temperature and you can find a R134A reference chart on google images with a simple search. Good luck and also there are some pretty good videos on youtube about using manifold gauges and recharging refrigerant.

Im working on a1988 Cadilac deville , replaced ac compressor , accumlator , orfus tube . i also vaccumed the system , reset computer . started car filled with 134a . worked fine till i drove for bout 1mi ....

Your have a low refrigerant level. Econ staying on and service ac will stay on too. Sounds like you didnt put enough r134a in the system. How much r134a did you add? Capacity is 38 ounces(thats
with R12), and a bit less than that for r134a.

I am not exactly sure which ac port, High or low side (or both), to put R134a refrigerant into my 1984 LTD Crown Victoria. The ac hasn't worked in about 6 years. Not sure if ac stays charged while...

If the compressor really has sat that long, the seals will be dry and you will not likely be able to keep R134 in it. Always fill on the low pressure side. The fittings are a different size, so your fill hose should not fit on the high pressure side. The low pressure side is along the return from the cooler.

Where is the low pressure port to fill ac

The low pressure port should be on the Accumulator, that's the silver cylinder that has the low side A/C line going in to it. You'll see the valve on the cylinder for you to add the R134a, do not aver fill the system. Safest way is to open and close the refill valve and let the A/C run for 2 min and see who cold the system is getting adding little at a time. To much R134a in the system will also give you poor A/C performance, to high of pressure in the system will shut down the compressor also.
Thank you for using fixya and when you think the air coming out of the vent is cold enough, stop charging the system.

Recharging ac on 2001 hyundai sonata gls

No picture to show you, but it's on the right hand side in the engine bay either near the power steering pump reseviore or near the firewall (or somewere inbetween). Anyway, chargine the AC system is done at the "HIGH" side port (not the low side). I assume when you say 'fill' the unit, you're talking about "Charging the System with Refrigerant'?

2001 Mustang Gt A/C not cooling

You might not have enough R134A in it the system should hold 3 - 5 lbs of pressure if I remeber right. But if the clutch is kicking in then its working but you might not have enough R134A. Buy the kit that has the pressure guage with a trigger on it so you can add what you need. When you fill it turn car on and ac on high then fill it. When ac is off the clutch should spin freely if not then your compressor is junk. As for the slight grinding noise just to make sure with CAR OFF turn the clutch on the compressor and make sure its not rubbing the pulley on the compressor.
