"while driving the 1999 dodge grand caravan,

There is a known problem with dash cluster solder cracking in some of the Dodge vehicles in and around that year. I would recommend removing the dash cluster and re-heating solder on the main connector joints on opposite side of circuit board/cluster. Use a small soldering gun to be more precise where you re-heat. Simply hold tip on spot until you see it puddle again, then let cool. I did them all to be safe, but you may see the cracked one or few by simply looking close with magnifying glass or similar. If you google it, there are even videos out there as well as pictures to help. ( dodge dash cluster soldering ) is one thing to google.

2006 Dogde Caravan: The lights on my dash (indicator panel) will occassionally light up and the speedometer will go all the way to max as does the rpm tach. The van still runs normally and this condition...

The Dodges had a problem with the circuit board inside the cluster assembly. The fix for them is replacing the circuit board. You are only experiencing the first part of problems. Next the van will intermittently not start. A good firm smack of the dash would normally get it working.

1997 Dodge Grand caravan, problems started with intermittant loss of gages & flashing lights on the buttons for a/c & recirc. it then progressed to the loss of my hi beams, cabin lights, remote...

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like you have a problem under the dash with the main harness wireing as it comes thru the dash board from the firewall or at a connection under the dash board. Or if your dash board is controlled by a circuit board. Best Bet, Have an electrical auto shop in your area take a look, many things to take apart under the dash and you may make the problem worse with out realizeing it, no matter how versed you are with cars.

Everthing on my dash (speedometer,odometer,fuel

Blown Fuse or fried Circuit board. Take to a local AutoZone, Advance, Murray's, O'reillys or a similar part house for them to check the wiring. I'm assuming the van does not use a mechanical Speedometer or Fuel Gauge.

On the plus side, with no speedometer, your indicated odometer mileage does not increase. Just keep your speed down and your tank full. Kidding, just kidding.

sounds like an electrical nightmare! start by removing the cluster, now try signals are they working if yes then bad cluster, also i had a few caravans that just had bad connections i removed the plugs and reconnected them and it worked fine, also with the light coming on with your foot on the brake may be a bad or in correctly installed bulb, check all brakeand signal bulbs, try all of this , good luck, hope this is helpful.

98 caravan died while driving, won't start

Does it crank over and not start? or does it do absolutely nothing when you turn the key?
if it does nothing you try a boost
It sounds like you have a connection problem somewhere if there is little or no power to anything..........I'm not real familiar with the fuse locations on caravans but your owners manual should tell you where to locate them.........check both fuse panels under the hood and in the interior...make sure none of them are blown....also you might have a wiring problem..........the part that confuse me a little is the fact that it died while driving but didn't give signs of a dead battery........which leads me to think its a blown fuse or a broken wire or bad connection.......
hope this helps.......Good luck!

in the fuse panel under the hood beside the battery there is a fuse marked IOD in your nearest right hand corner facing the vehicle. Pull the fuse, wait 3 min. Reinstall fuse.

No kiddin'. That's it.
