My freelander fan speed has reduced causing the exhaust pipes from the engine becoming red hot. This problem occurred when i serviced the A/C 2days [email protected]

Sounds like a blocked catalytic converter. Go to the back of the car and place your hand by the exhaust pipe and feel for exhaust flow. Have a helper accelerate engine speed to check for increase in exhaust flow. Note that driving through water will damage a hot converter and can cause exhaust tubing to collapse resulting in exhaust restriction. Engine must flow exhaust to be able to draw air and fuel to the cylinders. Any restriction will limit power and speed.
It takes a lot of heat to make the exhaust pipes get hot enough to glow red. It is a dangerous condition and can lead to a vehicle fire. A clogged catalytic converter or manifold could cause this, but ultimately the heat from the exhaust fumes is not exiting the system properly. Even a clogged tail pipe could cause this. A vandal might have stuck something in the end of the tail pipe.
It is running rough because it cannot push the exhaust out and therefore cannot take in enough air.
Regardless of the cause, have this inspected and the blockage/clog removed repaired and do not continue to drive the vehicle with this condition.

If you have a viscous fan hub replace it as it will get to overheating, especially at stop lights , slow traffic and going up hills slowly but with high rpms.
Try checking for a restriction in the system. possibly the catalytic converter. are the pipes before the muffler? you can smack your catalytic converter with a dead blow hammer a few times before you start the engine. you will hear a sound similar to breaking glass from inside the converter it's carbon build up. Start the engine and rev it up a little. If it was constricted the carbon you broke loose will blow on out. If nothing is restricted in exhaust you may have a bad exhaust valve on that side.
your intake manifold should only open when you accelerate on the gas pedal you need to lube it.and the exhaust pipes probably turn red because there is not enough air to cool the engine check your fan relay switch and thermostat to make sure they are working. That may very well be the problem.

If your car is like most, the cooling fan is mounted to its drive pulley via a clutch. Clutch fans operate at different speeds under different conditions to help reduce drain on the engine and to save fuel. When the engine is hot, the clutch fan runs nearly as fast as the engine. When the engine is cold, the fan runs much more slowly.
The fan clutch operation is regulated by a valve that is opened and closed by a thermostatic spring. The valve controls the flow of a viscous silicone fluid between chambers in the clutch assembly. When the engine is cold, the clutch is essentially disengaged, which is why the fan runs at its slowest compared to the engine's speed. As the engine warms up, the air flowing to the fan assembly becomes hotter. The hotter air causes the thermostatic spring to unwind and open the valve. Silicone fluid from the reservoir chamber flows into the main chamber, engaging the clutch, and the fan spins faster (though it's still slightly slower than the engine.
The only thing that comes to mind is the catalytic convertor in the exhaust system.It can become restricted,reducing flow in the exhaust system,which also reduces engine power.These convertors run at fairly hot temperatures,and the extreme heat and conditions aggravated,or overloaded it.It's not very expensive to have it checked at a reputable muffler shop.I have seen extreme instances where this caused parts of the exhaust system to turn red,glowing hot.
