Black smoke is one indication of a motor running very rich...the sensor that has the most control of this will be the the airflow meter...ive seen black smoke coming from all types of cars when these go bad

Have a 2004 toyota carolla 2ltr d4d , it looses power when the engine is close to full heat , no turbo and loads of black smoke , have changed egr maf , full service , intercooler cleand stil hav prob

loads of black smoke, loss of power and heating all indicate a faulty turbo--not winding up to provide the air flow required
check turbo actuator got the turbine vanes
Take it to a turbo repair shop and have it tested.

How do I remove glove box in a right hand drive Toyota avensis 2008 d4d?

Try opening the glove box and press the two side until the two extensions that prevent it from falling move in enough to allow it to fall out. I hope this will be of help.

My toyota avensis D4D 2011 WOULD NOT START THE GARAGE PUT SILICONE IN THE AIR INLET TO GET IT STARTED IT NOW HAS A LAT OF WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM EXHAUST THEY SAY THEY WILL NOW HAVE TO DRAIN THE DIESE

Silicone--I doubt that

Silicone will ruin the exhaust converter

White smoke is usually a head gasket & coolant
being heated in the combustion chamber

Best you be at, or go to that shop & get involved
with what is taking place there

It is your vehicle, your problem & only you authorize
what gets done & paid for--- NOT the shop-- at their
discretion

Hi I have a 2004 d4d Toyota avensis is driving normally then is starting to produce white smoke and over revving and then when it's switched off it has drained the battery. Have mechanics look at it but...

Cause of bad charging system.. It's smoke because the engine is overheat because the cooling fan is not working well. The battery is because alternator is working well.
