The factory transaxle fluid is recommended for the manual transmission in your car. It can be purchased from a Chevy dealership. I could not find an after-market replacement.

The recomended gear oil is 75w90 synthetic. However the capacities
increase with the size of the rear end.
8.6" 2.15qt (2.0L)

What type of oil is used on grang cherokee ltd rear differential

depends on the diff. highly recomend the factory oil from the dealer. those rear ends have enough problems as it is so dont compound things by putting in an inferior oil. also get the friction modifier aditive with it. it used to be [2004] the oil didnt come with it.

Please ensure that this has gear oil because some of these actually ran regular dexron tranny fluid. If it is gear oil a standard 80w-90 is a good all grade gear oil to run in it.
