Hi,First you should take any wires of that were installed before that causes major problems.If the key has a chip on it you may have to get another one made ,if it got very wet.If the security light is flashing,you can try this.1.turn the key to the run position but do not start it.2.leave the key in the run position for 10 to 15 minutes or until the security light stops flashing (becomes solid)3.if and when it becomes solid turn the key to the off position.4.wait 10 seconds an try to crank....If it wont crank or the security light keeps blinking.You will have to take proof of ownership (title) to the dealer and they will make you another key
