This is a difficult job and usually costs around $600-700. The heater core is located behind your instrument bezel, which has to be removed as well as the dash pad. It's very time consuming and I would recommend using a service manual if you are going to try to do it yourself. Good luck.

2000 Dodge Durango. Last night while driving home. I noticed white smoke coming from my vents, this caused the windows to cloud up the defroster did not clear the windows.

it sounds like your haeter core has sprung a leak. you can by-pass it by removing your heater hoses and conecting them together with a splice pipe till you can replace the heater core, but you will need to do so the by pass or heater core replacement soon or your car will start to overheat.

I have a 1985 vett and the dash cluster wont light up

It is a blown fuse,or the dimmer on the headlight switch, the headlight switch would have to be replaced,if nothing else is lighting up.if so.the bulbs are blown,or the connector to the cluster is not making contact.

Only the speedo lights up, the tach, fuel gauge and pressure readings do not on my 1985 Corvette

HATE to be the bearer of potential bad news BUT , the C4 Vettes are notorious for having dash / instrument cluster woes .
Most likely , yours is a bad one .
