This all depends, on a bmw its not bad but this car at this mileage is going to have problems and i will tell you its not cheap, everything on this car is costly, if the tennager is paying for the repairs then this is a bad car, and if the parents are paying then make sure you have this car inspected by your auto repair shop before buying it, maybe this car was well maintained, but still even a brake job is expensive, i wouldnt buy a car like this for a teenager but it depends if youcan afford it, good day.

The mileage shouldn't scare you. Just make sure the suspension and steering is safe and keep up on the maintenance and everything will be ok. Only thing with BMW's are that replacement parts are typically more expensive, but BMW's can last long if you take care of them.

Where is the battery situated on a bmw 525i 1995?

The location of the battery in the BMW 525i series is under the back seat on the passengers side. To access the battery, grab under the front portion of the back seat and pull upward with some force. There are two slips into which the seat is secured. One on the passenger side and one on the drivers side, again in the front of the back seat. There is not one in the center.

I would change the Thermostat for starters. they are not expensive and most of the time are the cause of a car overheating.
