The front seat will not move forward but the electric motor does allow it to move backward. We were thinking that the relay is bad.

This is more likely to be a bad switch or motor but if it goes back then it may not be the motor but the switch, the way to check this would be to remove the seat bolts and flip seat back to get a better look at the track and motors, then test for power and ground at the motor when you push the seat back button, if theres no power or ground then it may be the switch but then you would need to check the same at the switch. good day.

Where is the drivers power seat relay located

This is a really common problem with Pathfinders. I have seen 3 that have had this problem. 1. Disconnect battery. 2. Disconnect the power connector under the seat that is connected to the seat motor. 3. Spray electrical connector cleaner into connector. 4. Reconnect the connector. 5. Tap on the electric motor with a small hammer a few times, and try to turn the output shaft with pliers half a turn (if you can reach it). The seat motor is about 4 inches back from the front edge of the seat, center. 6. Reconnect battery. After doing this to ALL 3 of the victim vehicles, the seat began to work again. Also: look to see if something has not fallen into the seat track. I have found bic lighters sometimes get jammed in there nicely. Lastly, if none of this works, then try pulling the seat forward by placing your hand in the gap between where the seat bottom meets the seat back, and move the switch while you are tugging on the seat.

2001 Honda Accord electric seat moves up and down but not forward and backward.

Could be a bad switch or motor, or something jamming the seat movement.
Can you hear the motor running on both switches and directions?
I don't think they would have two fuses for the seat, but that might be a possibility.
Hope this helps.

Everything works on the power seats except unable to move seats forward and backward

There are usually 3 motors for power seats, 1 to tilt the seat, 1 to raise and lower the seat, and 1 to move the seat back and forth. I would think that motor is bad. Check for any obstuctions to the seat track.

The electric front seats both stopped moving

Check the fuse box for a blown fuse, both seats may operate on one fuse depending on the model of vehicle and the fuse may be located either under the dash on the drivers side or in the engine compartment on the drivers side.

Power drivers seat does not move forward and backward

if thare is a clicking sound heard then the fuse is not blown so this means ether the seat motor or transmission has gone bad and you half to replace the hole seat track, cause i dont think servisable parts are available for this vehicle

The drivers seat is stuck. It won't move forward or backward but all other seat functions work fine. hi and please help..I have the same problem with the driver seat..it will go up and down and the back...

I'm assuming this is a power seat. If so, there are separate motors that control the various functions of the seat such as forward/backard, recline, lumbar support, etc. It could be that the motor or an electrical connection to the motor for the forward/backward motion is faulty. Normally all of the motors would be on the same power circuit, so if some of the functions are working then it is probably not a blown fuse.

Just one other personal observation, I have actually seen an instance where some loose pocket change had spilled under the seat and a quarter had become wedged in the track that the seat slides in and had jammed the tracks so tightly that the seat would not move.

One thing to note is whether or not you hear anything when you try to move the seat forward/backward. If you hear a click or a buzz when you press the button then that could mean that something is physically jamming the seat tracks. If you don't hear anything when you press the button, then that more than likely means a problem with the motor or the electrical connection to the motor.

Power driver seat will not adjust forward or back.

My intuition tells me that the 6 way power seat track forward / reverse motor is bad. Sometimes you can replace just the one motor but most often a whole new power seat track is the only way to repair. It is not too bad to replace but the seat will have to be removed from the car and placed upside down to access the track assy. There are 2 bolts in the front of the seat and 2 bolts in the back of the seat that hold it down to the floorboard. Once it is loose you can rock the seat backwards to access and unplug the electrical connectors.

Front passenger seat jammed

I would guess that something might be jammed in the tracks or it is an electrical issue. Sometimes the connections to the switches are bad, sometimes the switch itself is bad, and sometimes the moter is burned out. Listen to hear if the motor is running, if so, check the track and see if it is jammed. If you don't hear anything you have some electrical tracking to do.
