Question about 1993 Chevrolet K1500

When driving the truck tends to rev way higher than normal, when you are at a stop and then try to go depending on how hard you hit the gas it will bog down almost dying, or die. also when you are driving and try to shift it doesn't matter what you shift into it doesn't affect the truck at all even when you have it in overdrive and shift down to 1st it doesn't change it is automatic. when driving it will rev really high and not shift until the rpms a really high then when it does it shifts really hard and makes the truck **** and when you shift into gear from park it also jerks there please can someone help me figure out what is causing this.

Sounds like your torque converter going bad. change the tranny fluid, and look for metal shavings (have a pro do this), sometimes you can squeeze enough life out of a bad tranny/torque converter by changing the fluid, or it might just be a clogged tranny filter. change the fluid, and if theres metal shavings in it, sell it while it still runs.

Find a local trusted transmission repair shop, they will do a preliminary diagnosis in most cases for little or no cost if you give them the job of repairing the transmission, which I think needs to be overhauled judging by the symptoms it is presenting.

Sounds like maybe a motor mount may have broken,if you
open the hood and put the car in drive ,then neutral then reverse
the engine should only "rock" about an inch or so,if it really jumps
that is the problem.

I had the exact same problem on my 04 GC. I put some Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner in from Wal-Mart and it seemed to fix the problems right away. Let me know.

Toyota Supra 1987, Will not rev up.

Is it a turbo? You may be having a fuel-cut issue. Has teh problem happened since? If this only happens once is a while, it will be hard to diagnose.

2008 Toyota Highlander Sport AWD when starting off the engine seems to rev fairly high for very small vehicle movement. At idle engine revs around 1000RPM. Gas mileage is poor,17MPG for about 80% city, 20%...

yes it is normal many customers complain about how the newer cars are not as responsive from a stop basically you have to hit the gas then the car goes seems to rev high to people with not a lot of movement becausse of this its because the newer cars are throttle by wire when you hit the gas it sends a electrical signal to the throttle to go instead of a few yyears back they were you hit the gas and the cable attached to gas pedal pulls back throtttle much more responsive hope this helps
