New battery, alternator, starter and the battery still wont stay charged

voltage regulator is what would cause this problem, but according to alternator stats on this veh it shows the voltage is regulated by the onboard computer. it appears that this is what may be the problem. (initially were the terminals crossed, and poss short the system? if so then looks as though you would need to replace the ecm/onboard computer)

2000 vw jetta alternator won't charge

the alternator gets power on big wire battery voltage the wire runs to starter, fuse box .alternator fuse goes to automatic shut down relay to relay control in ecm/pcm the field wire comes from ecm /pcm to alt.other field goes back to automatic shut down relay back to charge battery . if not charging at alt. try new alt. and retest.

My check charging system light comes on and the gauges go crazy. The battery is new & so is the alternator. The lights seem to dim when on at night.

check the ground wire from the battery to the engine and frame to engine ground first. double check the alternator output at the rear of the alternator, it should read identical to the battery posts when running, and it should be at 14.2 + volts at idle. If these all check out (zero resistance from one end of the neg calbes from end to end, mininal resistance from frame to engine) you might have an ECM problem.

Why does my battery keep going dead I have relaced it 3 times a new alternator if the car sits for 2 days or more and is not started and ran the battery is completely dead

BATTERY DRAINS ARE TRICKY. TURN OFF ALL SWITCHES, CLOSE GLOVE BOX. MAKE SURE GLOVE BOX LIGHT IS OUT. OPEN THE HOOD. DISABLE THE UNDER HOOD LIGHT. CLOSE ALL THE DOORS. MAKE SURE ALL COURTESY LIGHTS ARE OUT. DISCONNECT NEG. BATTERY CABLE. USE 12 VOLT TEST LIGHT, CONNECT ONE END TO A METAL PIECE ON THE MOTOR FOR GROUND. FASTEN THE OTHER END TO THE NEGATIVE BATTERY POST. IF THE LIGHT IS ON, THAT MEANS THERE IS A BATTERY DRAIN. LIGHT NOT ON, NO DRAIN. IF THE LIGHT IS ON, FIND THE POWER BOX NEAR THE BATTERY. PULL OUT ONE FUSE, IF THE LIGHT STAYS ON PUT HE FUSE BACK, PULL OUT THE NEXT FUSE. IF THE LIGHT STAYS ON PUT THE FUSE BACK . REPEAT THIS UNTIL THE LIGHT GOES OUT, OR GETS VERY DIM. OUT IS BETTER. WHEN THE LIGHT GOES OUT, THAT IS THE CIRCUIT THAT IS DRAINING THE BATTERY. REFER TO OWNERS MANUAL TO IDENTIFY THE CIRCUIT. IF THE LIGHT NEVER GOES OUT, REMOVE THE WIRES FROM THE ALTERNATOR. IF THE LIGHT GOES OUT, ALTERNATOR NEEDS REPLACING.

2000 ford windstar. Problem: positive lead from battery becomes hot when the radiator fans come on, lead is hot enough to burn to the touch and drains battery. When the fans are not on, the positive lead...

Clean the battery terminals with a wire brush & sandpaper. Make sure the fan is well grounded also. You may have to clean the black wire ground at the grounding spot. Also your fan motor may have a dead short & need to be replaced. Good luck!

2000 ford windstar...new battery, new alternator....still won't stay charged

Something is wired wrong draining electricity. Check the glove box light see if the radio works without the key. look for anything coming strait off of the battery not off of acc power. If it was a direct wire short out of nowhere the wire would have burnt up and been bare by now.Its somthing you have on or is staying on.
