Coil is sparking its probably ok sounds like distributor is failing. Pull dist cap see if you have lateral movement in dist shaft

89 toyota corolla has no spark, changed dist.cap and rotor and still no spark, why? any body helpful

Could be a bad coil or igniter. Check voltage to the coil and check for spark from the coil while cranking.

Possible distributor pick up coil located inside distributor cap It will be the black plastic piece with the wire on it. These were common to fail and cause a no spark situation

could be a bad dist cap if your engine has one, or bad plug wires allowing the spark to jump to different cylinders

Have 67 Ford Mustang GTA 289V8. How do spark plug no. layout on engine left side is 1-3-5-7 and right side of engine is 2-4-6-8. Would that be correct and what is firing order?

The 67 289. Right (passenger) side, 1-2-3-4, left (drivers) side 5-6-7-8. Firing order, 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 cc. This should also be cast into the intake manifold in front of carb. Also, dist rotation is counter clockwise as your looking at motor from front, and #1 should be at approx 1 Oclock position. Most dist caps will have it marked.

I have a 1966 Mustang. 200 six cyl, auto. PROBLEM will not start no spark, replaced coil, ign switch, voltage regulator, plug wires, dist cap, electronic ign. still no spark Help. drove her 2 weeks ago run...

Check to see if you have Power at the coil when the ignition is in the run position. Try to put the points on High cam so the points do not burn when you do this test. Also see if your Rotor is turning. You could have a broken timing chain or sheared off a Drive pin in the Distributor gear.

Check your Polarity at the coil. I do not see a new condenser as a replaced part, try a new one. Would be interested in knowing what you found.
