Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

1 Answer

The side view mirrors are electrical but have stopped working. Could it be a fuse problem and where do I find the culprit fuse? Under the hood or in the box on the driver's side under the dash?

If it is the fuse it will be on the side of ur dash... but most common problem on those is the little motors inside that move it around.

My side rear view mirrors stop work

That's the beauty of electronics. Eventually they go bad. Of course I am kidding when I say that's the beauty of it but anyway. Both problems that your are having could be cause by several things whether is be electrical or hardware based. Your side mirror adjustment could've stopped working due to the switch going out, the motor going bad, or maybe a wire shorting out or possibly even a fuse blowing (although I doubt it's the fuse because several other things would likely also stop working). The rear view mirror problem could also be cause be such electrical problems although I would probably bet that the LEDs just finally burned out and in that case you would have to buy a new rear view mirror. Diagnosing such problems over the internet is nearly impossible and your best bet is to take it to a good mechanic

I have a lhd grand cherokee and ive lost positive feed to passenger side electric windows and folding door mirror checked fuses no fuse for electric windows

There is only one fuse for all power window and power mirror operation (Fuse 12 (50A) in under hood fuse panel). If the passenger side window and mirror functions are not working, and you have verified that there is no power going to the passenger door module (pin 1 of C1 connector), then there is a wiring issue in the harness.

The dome light, electric mirrors, and radio all stopped working at the same time. I check all fuses in side and under the hood. do you have any idea what the problem is.

HI make sure you are getting power to fuse number 17 in the under dash fuse box. This fuse controls all three circuits and it sounds like it must nt be getting power to it.

you have checked the fuse box check thre accessory fuse , they bundle up all your items in one fuse is usually a 25 amp fuse. there might be another fuse box under the hood do some searching and use a test light to see if the fuses are good or bad.

Clock and side mirrors

The fuse block is usually under the dashboard, as well as additional fuse box under the hood. Your owners manual would give u that info, if u don't have one, it can be purchased @ Lexus site, don't know how much though. If fuses aren't labeled as u say, just pull them out 1 at a time and check to see which one is burned out. An auto parts store would probably help u locate the fuse box under the dash, (which is where I think the blown fuse is) they want to sell parts, and offer a lot of free services to customers such as testing components, installing wipers etc. good luck countrycurt0
