Tranny fluid should be changed if the vehicle was driven in high water, or if the tranny slips or doesnt change gears properly/smoothly.

1994 buick park ave.

I doubt it has anything to do with the transmission.
When the brake pads wear most have a wear sensor that drags along the rotor.
Have you pulled the wheels and checked the brake pads ?

if your engne rpm race upward when you apply gas but the car move slowly, you have transmission problem. I had this same problem when my transmission gone bad. you may need to have it services or low on transmission fluid. if not the low fluid problem, then you have transmission gears defect.

Check the transmission fluid level, check it in park, and see if it is low,it would have to be more than a qurt low to do this, but this would be the cause,or,the fluid and filter need to be changed,If this was helpful, please rate, thank you.

1992 park ave transmission slips fluid and

It probably did not slip before the fluid was changed I so the clutches are worn out and need to be replaced The worn fibers were still in the old fluid causing the fluid to be thicker filling the voids much better to shift. Now once drained and new fluid installed it slips

94 buick park ave runs great but with a light load it shakes, accelerates good and in park or neutral is smooth changed plugs and wires

Several possibilities having to do with the torque converter clutch and TCC solenoid:

1. Replace transmission fluid, use a synthetic Dex VI, do a complete flush with pan removal and filter replacement

2. Check all grounds related to the transmission control solenoids, clean them and ensure good electrical contact.

3. Rebuild transmission, the TCC friction material is worn out.
