Dead miss on one cylinder 99 sl2

A quick way to check the single coil pack if you know for sure which cylinder is miss firing and its setting a code you can swap the coil pack to another cylinder and see if the miss changes from one cylinder to another. If it travels to where you moved the coil then the coil is bad,if not you have other problems.

Would a 2001 chryler town and country faulty engine module cause number 2 cylinder not to fire

not likely, since the engine module also fire the plug across from the #2 cylinder on the coil pack. check for spark directly at the coil, if none is found ,then most likely a bad coil pack.

#4 ignition is not firing

I have a 1997 Rodeo with the 3.2L engine. When I experienced a similar problem, I took the coil pack off the #4 cylinder and exchanged it with the #2 cylinder. The misfire moved to the #2 cylinder which proved the coil pack was bad. I bought a replacement coil pack from a junk yard and corrected the problem.

Expect to pay over $150 for a brand new one if you also have to replace one.

Best regards,

Check the coil packs on the plug if equipped with that type, or the coil packs at the end of the spark plug wires, if so equipped.

Also, check that the fuel injectors are firing on all 8 cylinders.

Definitely, check out what other codes are stored in the computer besides a missing condition.

I have a 1999 Expedition that had a miss on a cylinder, and it turned out to be a bad coil pack. You have 2 cylinders missing, so I would check each cylinder for good spark, or replace the coil packs as necessary to see if that resolves the problem.

Good luck on this repair.

Misfire in two cylinders

Check to see if the two cylinders misfiring are on the same coil pack. If so, change the coil pack in question.

This happened to me on 1997 Cadillac Deville Limousine.

Also, check for a blown head gasket with compression test.

Does coil pack in cylinder four fire plug in cylinder one

no, if you have a coil pack, and one cylinder is not firing then you will need to relace coil pack, if you have individual coils (coil over plug) the you can just replace the coil associated with that cylinder.

Low horse power.engine missing

Give it a tune up, change all the spark plugs, the plug wires, even the coil pack or packs. If that doesn't work you'll need to perform a compression test on all of the cylinders and see if you have a cylinder that isn't building up proper compression. If my memory serves me, that engine is a Distributorless system that uses three coil packs to fire off the 6 cylinders. One bad coil can kill two cylinders. I had an ex GF that had the same issue.

Engine starts missin

I would get this in and have a power balance test performed to see which cylinder/s are missing. Most likely a bad ignition coil, wire or spark plug depending on which motor you have.
