Check your starter solenoid (put key in run position and use jumper wire to connect both big terminals if it starts and runs replace it) if no change then check ignition switch, and ignition module(most parts stores can test this once you have it off.

I am getting plenty of fuel and here is what is

There is an ignition module in your distributor cap. Some auto parts stores can test these if it's removed.

I was driveing and my 1985 toyota truck died and i cant get any fire from my coil

replace the coil after testing the no. 1 spark plug. pull the high tension cable and put near about 2mm from the ground. if no spark is seen. check the contact point, capacitor and distributor.

I am thinking of buying this 1985 vette

Basics: 1. Do you have spark at the spark plugs?
2. Is fuel getting to the cylinders?
3. What are the compression readings? (only perform if spark is good, and fuel quality and quantity are good at end of injectors)

Check your plugs and distributer timing. Maybe try running some seafoam through your injectors.
