Question about 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
When i turn on the air ,i can hear the a/c but nothing is blowing out. is this the blower? if so ,where is it located in this car?
Have you tried the heat also? If neither blow out, chances are it's the resistor on the blower motor. Mine went out in my 2001 Monte Carlo about two weeks ago and sure enough it was the resistor! The part runs around $35. Installation will vary depending on where you take it to.
Hope this helps!

The blower motor is located under the dash below the glove box.Remove the lower dash insulator panel and you should see it.Unplug the electrical connector and turn the key to the run position and air on high and check for voltage at the plug. The purple wire should be positive+ and the black ground-.On high you should have at least 12 volts. The voltage will decrease as you turn the fan speed switch to the lower settings. If these tests check good, then replace the blower motor..Good Luck!!!
