Well it's one of three things:
1. The fluid has leaked out and you should check for leaks and check the fluid level.
2. If the level is fine your power steering pump could be bad.
3. If the level is fine your rack and pinion could be bad.

if it is a hose it could be in 6 or 7 sections to get to the pump you need 2 lower your front suspension i believe not a job for the neighborhood joe unless joe's a mechanic
