I would pull the codes to see what the computer says is going on but with limited information i would guess throttle position sensor.

Ok now you need to see if you have the proper fuel pressure. Also if it runs poorly while idoling unplug the mass air flow sensor and see if it changes. You can also put your hand by the exhaust pipe and see if it seems restricted. If the catalytic convertor is starting to clog up it will restrict exhaust movement from the engine. Which makes it harder for the engine to intake the proper amount of fuel and air. As it gets hotter it will restrict more and more making the engine run progressively worse as it gets hotter.

Why wont 97 expedition eddie bauer run after startup?

Have you checked the fuel pump for any blockage? The car isnt getting any gas unless u manually pump it by pressing the pedal.. So start there
Sometimes when a engine requires excessive revving and throttle to stay afloat its a fuel supply problem. A clogged filter for example can be overcome with excessive throttle that drives the fuel pressure up enough to force it through, but it will barely trickle at idle and stall.

Usually the dead give away for fuel pump is when someone complains they have to floor it as soon as it turns over or it will die right away.

I have a 92 s10 blazer 4x4 it has a new fuel pump and fuel injectors and filter and oil filter when you push the gas to hard it's not getting gas it also goes dead when driving down the road. It...

First things first, you need to check your fuel pressure AND flow. If you have damaged, or kinked fuel pipes you will have good pressure, but as you load the engine up (put your foot down) your flow is insufficient and you get lean misfire/overheating/cutting out. Bridge the fuel pump relay so you can run the pump without the engine. Get a large jug, suitable for catching fuel, open the fuel supply line and put the pump side in to your jug. Run the pump for 30 seconds, so long as the jug isn't filling up too fast. You should get a minimum of 2 litres of fuel, less and you have a restriction somewhere.

Sounds like my 2002 nissan pathfinder is bogging down when i gas it , it runs fine but gets crappy gas miledge

needs a tuneup, definately change fuel & air filters, replace spark plugs & wires, distributor cap / rotor, change oil & filter, it would'nt hurt to replace cat conv., it restricts exhaust flow, between you & me , take it off, put a straight pipe in its place, is your inspection up to date ? you'll have a year to replace your CAT, before next inspection. just remember that. nissans this year usually need to have the timing belt replaced, nissan charges $900 + to do it. BIG DIFFERANCE ! see how it runs after tuneup, also , you may end up replacing both the cam & crank sensors down the road. I would replace the OXYGEN sensor/s as part of tuneup, it will help a great deal.

97 nissan pathfinder, it feels like the car is running out of gas, when you give in gas it suges, changed the fuel filter, did a tune up, checked the fuel pressure and flow, and there is no code

Lately there has been alot of questionable fuel going around - I would put a heavy duty fuel system cleaner through it and check for a cracked or missing vacuum line.

Cant accelarate down the road acts like its running out of gas

check for a clogged fuel filter, low fuel pump pressure, or a fuel pressure regulator that is stuck in idle flow setting--which is not enough pressure for cruise performance.

Car jerks sometimes while driving down the road also in the morning time acts like it wants to driving down the road.

Time to have the timing/tuning checked up. The fault is relative to a cold engine and can be due to poor fuel flow/delivery or poor electrics.
So the check up for replacement of suspected components like plug, filter, coil , HT wires fuel pressure must be made.

Driving down the road the power stops can not jump it

Air filter clogged, fuel not reaching the fuel injection system. Corroded battery connections especially the ground. Faulty coolant temperature sensor or intake air temperature sensor. Give it a tune-up change the air filter, fuel filter and pressure regulator, spark plugs and wires. If it is one ignition coil it'll be easy to change so change it too. Change the engine oil and filter. I strongly recommend a tune-up but the problem is caused by one or two of the mentioned sensors. Give it a tune-up and replace the coolant sensor first, let me know how it goes.

Drving at road speed

Step 1

Check fuel pressure. If you have over 80,000 then just replace fuel pump and filter. Fuel pump is in the tank so run out as much gas as you can.

Step 2
Also do a tune up plugs , wires ect... if you haven't already.
