This is a press type bearing, you will need a press and some specialty tools. I recommend that you leave this to a professional.

How to change front wheel bearing 2001 ford escape

The steering knuckle has to be removed first, the bearing is sealed type and it is pressed in. You will need to use a hydraulic press to remove. you could remove the knuckle yourself and take it to a repair shop and they could install the bearing for you if you do not have access to a press.

Generic problem for all Ford Escape Cars Front wheel bearings are noisy, need to change? how to?

Front wheel drive should be done by a shop. Rear wheel drive just a matter of removing the front wheel dust cover and remove the spindle hub. It is self explanatory thereafter.

the bearing has to be pressed in, quite the job even doing it at the shop- you will have to have some sort of press to press the bearing in.
