Question about 1999 Lincoln Town Car

Strong, almost continuous squeeky noise coming from the front left end of the car when steering left and right. it is not the hissing type of noise coming from the power steering box, and it started yesterday, while driving the car.

Sounds like it has a tensioner pulley, idol pulley, or an ac going bad. I would start by looking at them while running and see if there is any noticable defects in their function. IE nothing is leaning or turning slower then they should be. If nothing shows give each one a quick spray of lube one at a time and see which one makes a difference.

My 2005 Pontiac makes a hissing noise when I turn the wheel all the way to the left or right what could cause this problem

It could be air in the power steering system. Check the power steering reservoir to ensure it is properly serviced. If it is, check for any evidence of leaking under the car - power steering fluid is usually either clear or reddish color.
If you have to add fluid to get the reservoir back up to the correct level, it will take a little while to get air out of the system, so the hissing may continue for a period of time.

2007 cadillac esclade ext front end squeaking.

well it can still be anything, locating a steering/suspension noise can be hard. Based on what you typed, what first comes to mind is the steering pump is worn out. If it is more of a low whining sound instead of squeaking, its probably the steering pump.

Stering turing noise

have you checked the power steering fluid level ? may just need topping up other wise will need to jack up the front end take off front wheels , get some one to turn wheel from left to right and back and look and listen to see if you can locate the area of noise , make sure the vehicle is supported on stands and not just the jack , it could also be coming from the power steering pump so have a listen there as well , so long as there's no leaks and the steering operates ok it may just be one of those noises a 14 year old car will pick up over time

I want to know if it is dangerous to drive with a squeeky clock spring in my van

Yes its risky. Dont drive with that noise from clock spring. Its indication of its failure.
I believe this is the "clockspring" -- the electrical cable inside the steering column that connects your steering-wheel-mounted electrical controls to the rest of the car. ("Controls" used be just the horn.) The cable wraps around the steering column so it can turn with the steering wheel. Sometimes it starts to rub and squeak.

Power steering making noise when turned to extreme left or right.

This is normal; when turned to the limits, the pump has to resort to using its pressure relieve valve, which is what you hear operating. It has to use this valve so to redirect the pressure to avoid damage of the power steering system.
