- My oil pressure fluctuates around 20 on the gauge only after engine warms up. good oil pressure at start. starts knocking when engine is hot.- GuestBest Solution

If your vehicle has over 160000 miles on it and the low oil pressure is accompanied by engine noise.Chances are you have bearing clearence problems and or oil pump issues.The oil pan should be lowered for inspection.If there is no noise from the engine,install a manual aftermarket oil pressure gauge to make sure the original oil pressure gauge isnt faulty.Good Luck!!!!
