Do a voltage draw test with a DVOM to determine if anything is staying on, also charge the battery and have a free test run at Kragen or other chain parts store. Common sources of voltage draw issues running down battery are glove box lights, truck lights to name a few.

Battery Drains while sitting off and dead after 4-5 days

have a load test done on the battery to check for dying cell. Check that the boot light---glove box light is not on. IF it takes days to die then it most likely will be a internally shorting out cell

Car battery keeps dying

Myguess is that you have an electrical short which is causing a drain on the battery. The way to check this is to get a 12 v test light. Unhook the negative side of the battery. Hook the test light up between the negative battery post and the battery cable. If the light comes on, You have a short/drain. To find where the short is, you leave the test light hooked up. Then you start pulling fuses until the light goes out. However, your car stereo needs to be completely unhooked before you do this test because most stereos have a constant electrical source so that the clock stays accurate and the memory stays active so your programed stations don't get lost. Battery dies after car is sitting for 2 days. Alt

I assume you have replaced the battery? If not have it tested.

Check to see if a glove box light, trunk light or under hood light is staying on. Also you can remove the negative battery cable and then reinstall it. When reinstalling it, if you see a spark (other than just a very small one) there is a current draw on the battery. This current draw can be isolated by pulling one fuse at a time to see when the battery stops sparking on reconnect. It is possible you could have a shorted voltage regulator causing the current draw also. Many things can cause this problem.

2007 yukon xl battery dead recharged battery will not start no security light no gages work when you turn the key on. try to start the engine nothing happen like the security system shut down. can you...

We had the same issue with our 2007 Yukon Denali XL. Died on us twice after sitting for short periods of time; once we watched a DVD with the engine off and battery died within 10 minutes. The dealership kept it overnight to troubleshoot why the battery died so quickly. They said the radio was "pulling" too much from the battery. (They supposably fixed it) But again a few days later the battery died again after sitting overnight. We brought it back to the dealership and they brought in a GMC "expert" to replace the entire DVD/CD/Navigation system. They also replaced our battery with a much larger battery, similar to the ones that GMC puts in there diesel trucks. They had our Denali for 5 days, but it appears to be fixed now.
Getting it fixed correctly wasn't without headaches, but it was all covered under warranty, including the battery. And they are updating the nav w/ the new edition disc as well for no charge.

Engine keeps dying after I turn it on.

I had the same problem when I did battery maintenance on my 1988 Montero Sport. The problem was explained to me, that the car's electronic pollution control computer data was erased when the battery is disconnected or the battery totally discharges. The car's computer uses this data to regulate idle speed and other engine factors. The solution given to me was to recheck the battery connections (make sure they are clean, and tighten down), start the vehicle, and just let it sit and idle for about 15 - 20 minutes (without racing the engine or driving the vehicle). This will rebuild and repopulate the car's computer engine data it needs to make adjustments. Hope this helps.
Mark.
