Windshield wiper on passengers side stopped working.

The wiper arm is either loose or the gear has stripped out the arm socket itself. Try taking the arm off and turn the wipers on, if that gear still turns, then try tightening the arm back down. If it is stripped, you must replace the arm. Otherwise, if the gear still doesnt turn, the connecting rods under the cowl have been damaged and may need replaced.

I have a 2006 Chevy Impala and only one windshield wiper works the other blade jumps a little but doesnt work all the way.

their is a small plastic cover at the base of the wiper arm, underneath it is a nut. place the wiper arm in the desired location and tighten the nut down and re-install the cover its a common problem and if you haven't ran it too long like this it should fix it

1994 chey astro.if i take the right arm off the blade works but when i put the left arm back on the blades go up but won't go back down.

Hi! There may be a problem on your wiper motor. The wiper motor may be weak thats why it doesnt have enough power to pull it down. Try replacing the wiper blades too for it may be worn and could be causing the motor to be forced too much.

Wipers won't lie down when off

The self parking mechanism in the wiper motor assembly has failed, most likely the "emf brake" built into the motor itself. If the self parking microswitch was broken (another common fault) then the wipers would simply keep running until the ignition was turned off.

The only solution is to either get an auto electrician to see if the motor assembly can be repaired or to replace the entire wiper motor. Repair is probably the better option as it's an expensive part.

Were is the back wiper switch located for VW polo's from 1997? mine doesnt seem to be working. Thanks. (I had to select Golf from the products gallery as Polo doesnt seem to be on the drop down menu.)

on the right stalk the tiny button on the end of it clicks in for the rear wiper and push the hole stalk towards the speedo and hold for rear wiper and washer.

Wiper Blades

lift the wiper arm all the way up and out from the windshiled. hold the arm so it doesnt slam back down and crack the glass. rotate/spin the whole wiper blade 90 degrees, counter clockwise, and then pull the blade straight back off the wiper arm. install the new one in the opposite order
