That is antifreeze leaking out of your radiator/cooling system. If you start the car and let it warm up, you can look where it is dripping and track down where it is coming from on the motor or radiator. Probably an easy, inexpensive fix but theres an outside chance it could be more serious. This needs to be dealt with as a loss of coolant will eventually result in overheating.

Can the green antifreeze be used in a 2002Volkswagon Passat instead of red fluid. 1.8 liter engine

I wouldn't attempt that. Stick with the fluid that the manufacturer recommends many problems can occur if you put the wrong coolant into the system.

There is a small drain plug that needs to be removed, the car level, suspended on Jack's, monitor the tranny fluid temperature with obd2 tool, engine started from cold, , the fluid will ooze out of the open plug hole at proper temperature. Use a new plug when done topping the fluid. Intricate task

Looking at buying an 04 Passat wagon, can't tell from service records if trany fluid was ever changed. What mileage servicing is this recommended?

Vw says that it never needs to be changed under normal conditions. I would reccommend checking the fluid to see if it is clean. At the bottom of the tranny is a pan with a drain bolt. A sample can be taken from here or the fill/check window located a little higher.
If there are leaks in the pan gasket, it should be replaced. A KIT will come with a new filter and gasket. The fluid will have to be drained first, but can be reused and pumped back in. Only VW fluid will work here.
The fluid is very rarely changed, and more often checked for leaks and fluid added.
Good Luck!

VW Passat STOP brake fault warning

Check the fluid level in the resevoir. If it is low then top it up. However, it went low for a reason - maybe it's just because your brake pads starting to wear out or you could possibly have a brake fluid leak.

If your in any doubt have a pro check it out.

2002 VW passat wagon brakes

Check the level of the brake fluid, as the pads wear down the fluid level falls slightly and the sensor reacts and gives the warning, it may happen more as you are cornering and the brake fluid moves, try gently topping up the brake fluid it doesn't need much..

Transmission leak, what can be the causes

Get it to the shop immediatly. If the tranny hasnt been damaged it will be way cheaper. You may want to tow it in. VW trannys are ridiculously expensive.

Location of power steering fluid

The resovior is on the drivers side near the fender, it has a green cap on it. Use only VW fluid or you will have huge problems.
