Use a 3/8" ratchet to release the tension on the tensioner the belt rides on.

I have a 1991 Chevy 1500 Series Silverado Extended Cab Pick Up. My light switch seems to be burned out and I need to know how can I fix it?


first youll have to take the dash loose by removing the allen screws that hold it in, after that its pretty easy phillips head screws hold it to the dash and the plug just unplug remove the screws holding it replace and reverse the removal. i hope this helps

Changing serpentine belt on 2000 chevy silverado 1500 4.8 v8


The belt has tension applied to it from an idler pulley arm. you need to release tension by using a socket and ratchet on the nut on the idler pulley. Release tesion and slide belt off . Make sure you have the diagram for serpentine belt. it is usualy under the hood. If not make a diagram yorself before removing belt.
