Where can I get an Owners Manaul for my 1996 Mazda Miata MX5 ? Will manufacturer give me one ??

Yes, you are correct, disconnecting the fuse box has broken the pairing between the key and the immobilizer system. Did you remove the main connection plugs to the fuse box? My thought is that those connectors have never been removed since the car was built and breaking a remaking the connection, you might have some connections that as not as good as they should be. Pull the connectors again and give them a good spray with electrical contact cleaner (that is NOT WD40). Then reconnect.

On the drivers side of the car. Look behind the hood release and you should see a little black cover explaining which fuse is what.

You either need a new window crank itself, the inside of the crank could be stripped, you move the crank and out at it to see if the splines are wore away. Or your window regulator, inside the door, has gone bad and would need replaced.

usually 60 -90k miles . should be in your owners manul, start looking at 60k service and go up from there.

If it is a whining sound, you may want to check the U joint.
