On almost all vehicles the resistor is located close to the fan so it gets plenty of air to keep it cool .Find the blower motor you will find it.

I need to know the location of my blower relay. Already changed out the blower resistor, that did not remedy the problem (fan will not come on). Yes, I installed it correctly.

The blower relay is for high speed fan only most of the time . Do you know how to test electrical circuits ? It sure cuts down on buying unneeded parts . Here watch this video , this is a Chrysler vehicle . Don't know what you have , doesn't matter . They all work pretty much the same . I suggest you watch a few other trouble shooting videos as well .Is Chrysler Blower Motor Test subscriber requested video This next vehicle is a GM product , this one uses a relay for high blow only . Why would my fan not be blowing hot or cold air?

You could have a relay that is bad , Blower motor relay in the under hood fuse/relay box. Or the blower motor itself could be bad . This is where you need to get a wiring diagram an a component location chart an a DVOM digital volt ohm meter an do some testing . The blower motor resistor , is this the part you changed ? If you haven't high blower operation either it couldn't be the blower motor resistor .

I have replaced the blower relay, the resistor looks fine, but blower won't work on my 1986 Silverado

Change the resistor. For the 15-20 bucks it's a great diagnostic and a very common problem with GM vehicles.
Then you can start backtracing the harness as ray012965 suggested.

It is -40 today and for the first time ever, my blower motor will not turn on. I have no defrost, no heat. Help!

the fan either is frozen, or it is bad. if the fuses and relay are ok. and there is power to fan resistor. change resistor to see if this is the problem. go to any auto parts store and they will tell you where resistor and blower fan are auto zone etc. if resistor is bad then no power to motor.

99 explorer fan only works on high

You need a blower motor resistor pack, follow the wire from the motor it will go into a connector with a few wires at the resistor pack. it's held in by 2 screws- easy to change.

I just had the blower motor relay changed. I still here the noise of a fan running at the bottom of the windshield after I have removed the key from the ignition. is there another fan moter that has to do...

This is probably not a relay problem.
Blower motor resistor usually the cause of this.Very common.
Depending on year and model of your car the location of resistor may vary.
And yes it's draining the battery.
Resistor has another name - Final Stage Controller.

Heater Fan only works on high speed

Well you need to change the blower motor relay,if it works for awhile and then goes to only on high again change the relay and the blower motor. The relay is usually cheaper than the blower motor and thats why you should change that first.

Blower motor for heater only works on high....what do you think I need to change. Relay or Resistor.

If the heater only works on the high setting, your problem is the heater fan resistor, not the relay.
